Alice in the Cities

Wim Wenders co-writes and directs this German drama. After failing to finish an assignment in the United States, German journalist Philip Winter (R�diger Vogler) leaves New York to return to Germany. At the airport he meets fellow German Lisa (Lisa Kreuzer) and agrees to watch her nine-year-old daughter Alice (Yella Rottl�nder) for her. But when Lisa fails to return as planned, Philip finds himself reluctantly escorting the independent-minded young girl around Europe on a journey to reunite her with her grandmother in West Germany.
