Aubrey Logan - Standard

Since breaking onto the LA music scene in 2013, Aubrey has turned the jazz genre on it's ear. In fact, she has refused to be categorized by a single genre. Attending one of Aubrey's shows is like going to the carnival and buying a ticket to the house of mirrors-one never knows what is going to be just around the corner. So one might expect that on an album named 'Standard', one would be hearing another re-tread of standard jazz tunes with just another singer. But just like that house of mirrors, you should expect to be surprised. Yes, you will hear some jazz classics, but not like you've ever heard them before. And you'll hear a couple of new jazz classics (penned by Ms. Logan herself). But you may also hear an opera tune or a classic rock song that has been magically and seamlessly transformed by a jazz arrangement.
