Because in a giant city, sometimes the smallest things get overlooked.Meet the tiniest standouts in the Big Apple, from a baby dinosaur at the Museum of Natural History to a dinky basketball court in the Village that has produced some of sport's biggest legends.Other tiny stars include the NYPD's smallest bomb-sniffing police dog (45 pounds), the shortest first name (just one letter!), and an itsy-bitsy topless bar (1200 square feet).Tiny New York peeks into the city's nooks and crannies to find the little things that tell the real New York story. Because in New York, Tiny isn't cute. It's tough. Tiny doesn't wait for handouts. It hustles. Tiny isn't insignificant. It's precise. Tiny isn't a jack-of-all-trades. It's the master of one. There are plenty of books about New York City. But there has never been a book about the smallest things in the biggest city.

Here's what you say about us...

SUZI SIEGEL, who is little, grew up in a little apartment in the Bronx. She is a former investigative reporter and travel writer. Thus, she is uniquely qualified to write a book full of words about the tiny things in New York City that might have otherwise gone unnoticed.
Siegel has worked as a crime reporter in Detroit, an assistant to Sean "Diddy" Combs, and a travel writer for Marie Claire magazine. She earned her master's degree from Harvard and has been to Djibouti.
Siegel lives in Jackson Heights, Queens, one of the city's most diverse neighborhoods, because it's just like traveling even though it's home.

"Take it from me, a tiny New Yorker! Tiny New York tells the big stories of all the little things that make NYC so grand."

-Rachel Dratch, actress, comedian, author, and at 5-feet-nothing, the second shortest cast member to ever appear on Saturday Night Live

"The sort of New York travel guide you might actually buy for someone from New York."
-UrbanDaddy

"An undersized coffee table book about the smallest things in the biggest city, this adorable and surprisingly substantial book may have actually found an undiscovered angle of New York."
-Fodor's Travel, 2018 Holiday Gift Guide
