Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman direct this stranger-than-fiction reality documentary exploring the unexpected consequences of social networking. The film follows Ariel's younger brother Nev, a New York photographer in his mid-20s who is contacted via Facebook by Abby, a girl in rural Michigan who asks him for permission to use one of his photographs for her artwork. Before long Nev has become 'friends' with other members of Abby's family, and gradually becomes entangled in a web of online intrigue as the electronic communication phenomenon leads him ever deeper into uncharted territory.
