Animated version of the classic novel by Gaston Leroux. The composer, Erik Destler is the hideously deformed Phantom of the Opera. When the beautiful diva Christine performs his music, Erik becomes obsessed with her, and will stop at nothing in his desire to possess her. A young Count, who is also in love with her, goes in search of Chritine, with the help of a mysterious person known only as the Persian.
