Description

The first series of the hit television series starring Michelle Collins. Abby Wallace (Collins) is a single mum living on a council estate in London. When her young son sees an appeal for young families to move to the Scottish island of Ronansay, Abby decides this is an opportunity that cannot pass her family by. The only problem is she needs a husband to be considered for the move. Her best friend Kenny (Paul Kaye) is easily persuaded to play this part and they begin their new life in Scotland. But it isn't always easy keeping up the act in a small community - especially when Abby attracts attention from the local salmon farmer who seems to want to be more than just neighbourly and there seems to be a few more local men who have an eye for her.
