Triple bill of horror classics. Low-budget horror maestro Roger Corman directs 'Creature From the Haunted Sea' (1961), about a mobster who hits on a plan while smuggling a deposed general and a fortune in gold out of Cuba on his private yacht. His plan is to scare the general and kill his guards by faking the attacks of a sea monster, enabling him to keep the gold for himself. When a genuine sea monster begins attacking them though, the plan goes horribly awry. In 'The Devil Bat' (1941), Bela Lugosi plays mild-mannered Dr Carruthers, a man hiding a murderous secret. At night, he unleashes his breed of blood-sucking bats to attack anyone wearing his specially formulated aftershave lotion, in an attempt to get revenge on the perfume company that sacked him. Finally, in 'The Vampire Bat' (1933), a series of murders in which the bodies are completely drained of blood causes superstitious villagers to believe there is a vampire at work. In reality a mad scientist is commiting the crimes in order to use the blood in his experiments.
