Colm Feore stars as the eponymous pianist in this biographical anthology drama directed by François Girard. A child prodigy, Gould becomes a famed concert pianist but in 1964 at the age of 31, he gives his last concert and then refuses to perform live again, preferring to work in the recording studio. Girard blends dramatised scenes from Gould's life with excerpts from his interviews and radio documentaries and a soundtrack featuring Gould's own recordings.
