Documentary profile of the A4 Pacific No. 4468, a streamlined locomotive that broke the world speed record for steam in 1938. The locomotive, named 'Mallard', was designed by Sir Nigel Gresley and was restored in 1988 in celebration of its achievement 50 years earlier. The chapters are: 'Introduction', 'Setting the Record', 'Arriving at Harrogate', 'The Postal Pullman', 'Heading South' and 'Travelling the Settle-Carlisle Line'.
