Claudio Abbado conducts the Berliner Philharmoniker in this live performance of Brahms' 'A German Requiem', recorded at the Grand Hall of the Musikverein in Vienna in April 1997 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the composer's death. The production also features soprano Barbara Bonney and baritone Bryn Terfel, as well as the Swedish Radio Choir and the Eric Ericson Chamber Choir.
