Drama triple-bill. In 'Adrift' (1993), Katie (Kate Jackson) and Guy (Kenneth Welsh) set sail on a trip to try and save their marriage and find love again. However, things don't go according to plan when their quiet cruise turns into a deadly nightmare after rescuing Nick (Bruce Greenwood) and Eliza (Kelly Rowan) from a stranded cabin cruiser. Adrift on a sea of fear, they become prisoners who must fight desperately to save their lives. In 'Nevada' (1997), when Chrysty (Amy Brennan), fleeing her husband, arrives at a tiny Nevada town seemingly run entirely by women, she decides to stay. But she soon finds that her presence threatens the status quo; the womenfolk are in control for most of the week as their husbands are away working at a dam and only make it home at weekends. Chrysty becomes the obvious scapegoat for the women's frustrations and loneliness and the ensuing conflicts send all of their lives into a state of chaos. Finally, the comedy 'Dirty Tricks' (2000), follows the hapless exploits of an unscrupulous English tutor (Martin Clunes) at a seedy language school in Oxford. On the surface he is an eternal student - charming, witty and accomplished - but beneath the facade however, he displays a brilliant and ruthless talent for lying and manipulating everyone around him.
