Description

Ari Gold writes, directs and stars in this comedy spoof charting the career highs and lows of a professional 'air drummer'. Power (Gold) is a mine worker from New Mexico who has developed a name for himself in his hometown with his formidable air-drumming skills, for which he is mercilessly ridiculed every week on talent night at the local bar run by his Aunt Joni (Jane Lynch). After taking part in an underground 'drum-off' in Mexico, Power gets his lucky break when he is spotted by a trainer from New York. While his union-leader father (Michael McKean) and mining colleagues go on strike in an attempt to save their jobs back home, Power takes off to pursue his dream of becoming the world's greatest air-drummer.
