Alfalfa Flats - Jack Gallagher

The two outlaws were on their way to Alfalfa Flats Staging Post to rendezvous with the rest of the Tindale gang when the rangers caught up with them.
Ranger Mike Standler and his partner, Billy Barnes, pretended to be the outlaws and waited for the rest of the gang to show up.
At the staging post they found an unsavoury piece of work called Carter and a ragged, half-starved kid whom Carter was supposed to be looking after.
Billy Barnes made a friend of the boy, but that friendship was fated to cause heartache and bloodshed.
