This engaging "draw from your imagination" book holds many adventures for young readers: a dragon to fight, a mystery ship sailing to shore, an archway to step through. The starting point for each adventure is an image from a painting in London's National Gallery. With the help of paints, crayons, pencils, felt-tip pens, scraps of paper, and, above all, imagination, budding artists fill in the scene. Reproductions of all the original paintings appear at the back of the book. From an adult's perspective, the finished projects can offer valuable insight into a child's thoughts, desires, and anxieties.
