Triple-bill of musicals. In 'Annie' (1981), Annie (Aileen Quinn) lives a miserable life in an orphanage run by the cruel Miss Hannigan (Carol Burnett). A chance of escape and happiness comes Annie's way when she meets billionaire 'Daddy' Warbucks (Albert Finney), but Hannigan and her colleagues soon conspire to get Annie back. In 'Annie 2' (1995), Annie (Ashley Johnson) is back, and this time her adoptive father Daddy Warbucks (George Hearn) is taking her and her friends Hannah (Emily Ann Lloyd) and Molly (Camilla Belle) on a trip to London where he is about to be knighted by the Queen. But the evil Lady Hogsbottom (Joan Collins) has plans to hi-jack Buckingham Palace and install herself as the new British monarch. Will Annie be able to save the day? Finally, in 'Oliver' (1968), young orphan Oliver (Mark Lester) suffers under a harsh regime at the workhouse run by Mr Bumble (Harry Secombe). He manages to escape, and, after meeting a friendly pickpocket known as the Artful Dodger (Jack Wild), joins a gang of street thieves operated by the disreputable Fagin (Ron Moody). Although happy with his new friends, Oliver takes a dislike to Fagin's violent and aggressive colleague, Bill Sykes (Oliver Reed). Winner of six Oscars, including Best Picture and Best Director.
