Description

The complete first series, including the pilot episode, of the classic camp 1970s British television sitcom, featuring the double-entendres and saucy goings-on at the Grace Brothers department store. In 'Are You Being Served?', the Ladies and Gents departments have moved to the same floor, and Mrs Slocombe (Mollie Sugden) and Mr Grainger (Arthur Brough) clash over the central display. In 'Dear Sexy Knickers', a misunderstanding arises after a love letter from Mr Lucas (Trevor Bannister) to Miss Brahms (Wendy Richard) goes astray. In 'Our Figures Are Slipping', a sales conference is called after profits go down. In 'Camping In', the staff are stranded at work after a transport strike, and have to spend the night at the store. In 'His and Hers', a new fragrance display puts Mr Grainger and Mrs Slocombe at odds. Finally, in 'Diamonds Are a Man's Best Friend', a customer who has lost a diamond offers one hundred pounds as a reward for its recovery.
