A Scape to Bermuda - Ian Macdonald-Smith

A photographic record of Bermuda that is designed to do more than just decorate coffee tables. For, in addition to taking a discerning look at island life through the lens of a well-travelled camera, the author's focus has been the creation of a book that will entertain, inform and reveal facts about the island in order to give the book the broadest possible appeal.;The book is divided into three main parts. Part one deals with landscapes, photographed in order from the east end to the west end of the island, showing as many scenic locations as space allows. Part two deals with seascapes, revealing the beauty of the island's diverse shores. Part three features skyscapes, showcasing the spectacular cloud formations which build up in the skies over and around the island.;A full-page map of the island is included, showng the locations where the photographs were taken, and dividing the purely photographic section of the book from the text. In the editorial section, concise historical, cultural and anecdotal information and, where possible, derivatives of the nameplaces shown, appear adjacent to key photographs for easy reference.
