David Paterson is a well-known landscape photographer who runs the Wildcountry Photolibrary in Glencoe. He has taken on assignments throughout the world and has published a number of photography books, including Border Landscape and London: City on a River (both in collaboration with Sir Julian Critchley), and two books of mountain photography—The Way to Cold Mountain and Heart of the Himalaya. David Craig held the chair of Creative Writing at Lancaster University for many years and is the author of several volumes of fiction and non-fiction, poetry and literary criticism. In Scotland he is best known for his successful book on the Highland Clearances, On the Crofter's Trail.
