To understand Asperger Syndrome (AS) it is important that people with this condition write about their experiences and how they have coped with them. This book describes, not only Gay''s life as an AS individual, but it also critically analyses many of the features and symptoms of her AS. It is hoped that her academic and sporting achievements will offer help and encouragement to other autistic individuals, by showing that much can be achieved by adopting the attitude of "never giving up," even when so many difficulties are encountered whilst striving for goals. Despite struggling at school she has a B.Sc, a Ph.D. and a B.A. She discovered that ascending the "Learning Curve" gets easier as one moves up the ladder!
