A Sunset Touch begins with a terrible arson attack in which it seems two children might have died - yet when the fire brigade manage to get inside they find only the body of a man. Mayo and Abigail Moon set to work on a murder inquiry. But neither this nor another case in which Mayo is concerned make any headway until both crimes seem to lead to the same path, from Poland to wartime England and so to the present day.
