Collection of documentaries looking at three World War II fighters. 'P-38 Lightning in World War II' looks at the P-38 Lightning, developed by the Lockheed company as an aircraft suitable for a variety of roles with American forces during World War II. 'F4U Corsair in World War II' looks at the F4U Corsair fighter aircraft, used extensively in the Second World War by the US Air Force and the US Marines. Finally, 'P-47 Thunderbolt at War' looks at the famous P-47 Thunderbolt fighter aircraft. Heavily armed and able to take considerable punishment, the Thunderbolt was used in a variety of ground-attack, bomber escort and interceptor roles.
