Scarlett Gardner has just graduated from university and moved to London. On the outside she's a normal girl who works in a museum and hangs out with her friends - but Scarlett is not normal. Since her last birthday she has started to realise the quirks and oddities that filled her life as a girl were becoming more persistent. After a break-in at her home Scarlett starts to believe something more sinister is going on. By the time she realises who is after her it's too late and Scarlett has no option but to fight for herself. This story is about a young woman navigating an already difficult time in her life with the realisation that she is not like everyone else. Throughout her journey she learns how to manage her new found abilities in the 21st century. Scarlett's unique condition interferes with her work, her love life and her friendships but ultimately leaves her with the best of all three.
