Triple bill of Bela Lugosi films. In B-movie thriller 'Black Dragons' (1942), Lugosi stars as Doctor Melcher, a mad plastic surgeon who transforms six Japanese people to resemble prominent Americans at the behest of the Japanese intelligence organisation The Black Dragon Society. After their dead bodies turn up, one-by-one, on the steps of the Japanese Embassy, Federal Agent Dick Martin (Clayton Moore) is assigned to investigate the case. In the thriller, 'Invisible Ghost' (1941), Kessler (Lugosi) is a seemingly normal man who becomes deranged whenever he thinks about his dead wife. Whilst under the hypnotic influence of what appears to be the ghost of his domineering spouse, he commits a series of gruesome and grisly murders. When an innocent man is executed for the murders, someone close to Kessler vows to uncover the identity of the true killer. Comedy horror 'One Body Too Many' (1944) sees an insurance investigator (Jack Haley) turn up at the mansion of a millionaire who has been receiving death threats, only to find the tycoon dead and the mansion full of his greedy heirs. Cue murderous shenanigans, creaking doors and things that go bump in the night. Lugosi co-stars as Murkil the butler.
