The story of how I spent twelve months going from non-runner to ultra-runner. I'm no running coach. Not that long ago, I wasn't even a runner. Somehow, in one year, I went from struggling around the park (while trying to lose a pot-belly) to running ultra-marathon distances and preparing for a 130-mile run across the South-west. Along the way, through local races, lonely trails and a couple of further-flung corners of the globe, I learned a lot: about running, new adventures and exactly how far a bit of determination can take you.
