Description

If the cold doesn't kill you, the monsters will. Or should that be the other way around? Either way, you're up against it in the frozen wastes of Fade to Silence.

The game is a survival game that's gone full-on supernatural. The corpse of a floating city hangs in the sky and eldritch monsters roam the land, but they're arguably not even your biggest threat. The cold will do its best to kill you at every single turn, making stopping regularly to warm yourself by a fire a necessity.

There are also, of course, all the usual activities associated with the survival genre - resource gathering, crafting, keeping things like your hunger levels under control and so on. The hook for Fade to Silence, however, is that you can recruit followers and outsource some of the hard work. Sending them out to build shelter or harvest untainted vegetation certainly takes the edge off.

While your followers alleviate some inconvenience, however, they also provide another form of vulnerability. You'll be responsible for making sure they're warm, fed and protected, so watch out!

Fade to Silence spent a while in early access on PC, but this completed version includes some extras such as an improved tutorial, a survival handbook and a ton of backstory for you to explore.
