Description

A double bill of Marvel comic live-action starring Wesley Snipes. In 'Blade', Blade (Snipes) is every vampire's nightmare: possessed of the same powers as his bloodsucking brethren, but without the weaknesses that can destroy them. Acting as a modern day Van Helsing, Blade sets out to foil a plan for a legion of the undead to wipe out mankind, masterminded by vampire overlord Deacon Frost (Stephen Dorff). In the follow-up, 'Blade 2', the daywalking half-human/half-vampire, who has dedicated his life to fighting the threat posed by the undead, enters into an alliance with vampire chief Damaskinos in order to eradicate a new strain of vampire which preys on both the living and the undead. Leading an elite vampire combat team known as the 'Blood Pack', Blade (Snipes) visits the Prague nightclub where the new vampires have made their base and makes ready to attack. But this new strain is stronger and more deadly than anything the vampire hunter has come up against before.
