Description

Boulder Dash is back! This sequel to the 1984 action-puzzle classic that birthed a generation of claustrophobic gamers gives Nintendo 3DS players the change to dig up some buried treasure. In Boulder Dash-XL 3D, you get to control either Rockford or Crystal as they mine their way through a selection of caves for their loot.

Just like in the original game, you can mine in different directions to try and obtain hidden gems - but you need to watch out for a myriad of hazards that will bring your mining adventure to a crushing end. Notably, boulders - if you dig a path underneath a big rock, you better move out of the way fast before it squishes you. And that's before you even mention the numerous creatures that lurk in each cave.

As it's on 3DS, you'll get to see all of the action in eye-popping stereoscopic 3D. 150 all-new caves can be tackled across four distinct gaming worlds, with five game modes on offer - including a cool Retro mode that harks back to the Atari 400 Boulder Dash days! For this version, a new scoring mechanic has been introduced as well as the ability to share your high scores and unlocks with others using StreetPass.
