Building a literate nation - Neil McClelland

The Director of the National Literacy Trust has compiled this book as a platform for the major agencies in literacy to put their case to the government. Here, they set out what needs to be done for Britain to enter the 21st century as a literate nation. All the major agencies are represented, including: the Basic Skills Agency, British Dyslexia Association, British Film Institute, Centre for Learning in Primary Education, National Association for the Teaching of English, the Library Association, and the United Kingdom Reading Association.
