Paul Eyam Nzie Okpokam stars as a version of himself in this docudrama written and directed by David Schickele. Gabriel (Okpokam), a young Nigerian man, settles in San Francisco in 1968. As he studies at college, enjoys relationships with black and white women and tries to earn money, he is also interviewed about his experiences in both Nigeria, where the civil war is entering its second year, and in America. However, when Okpokam is wrongfully arrested, Schickele stops filming and works to secure his release from prison.
