Description

The king of fighting games is back in the ring! (or back alley, or bath house, or parade ground - choose your own fighting arena to insert here). The mighty Street Fighter series returns with the sixth mainline entry in the storied series, and it's a beefcake. There were grumbles from fans about SF5 at launch - a bare bones campaign, problems with online and (the biggie) no arcade mode. All of that has been redressed here. The story mode is, frankly, unprecedented. Dubbed World Tour, it gives players a 25 hour epic that has them create their own character and explore a 3D world in a way that's reminiscent of Yakuza, encountering 'masters' such as Luke, Ken and Chun-Li to get quests and learn moves. It's basically a full-on Street Fighter RPG in which pretty much everyone is a potentially sparring partner. Fighting Ground, meanwhile, wraps core fighting modes players will already be familiar with, such as Arcade Mode, online matches, Training Mode, local versus battles and more into a comprehensive classic beat-'em-up destination. Then there's Battle Hub, an all-purpose online destination that gives players a ton of ways to interact with other fighters around the world. Another new feature is in-game commentating that incorporates Fighting Game Community (FGC) commentators like Vicious and Aru directly into the game. A couple of new control schemes join the classic setup, too - Modern Controls streamlines the combo system for players who don't want to get up to their necks in memorizing button combinations, while Dynamic Controls gives the very casual player an auto attack button to make the game truly accessible.
