Triple bill of horror. 'Cat's Eye' (1985) is a trio of Stephen King short stories, linked together by the wanderings of a stray cat, are dramatised in this horror movie. The first sees a chain smoker (James Wood) taking drastic steps to kick the habit, the second features a mobster gaining revenge on his wife's lover, and the third has the cat taking centre stage, pitting its wits against an evil goblin. In 'Shocker' (1989), directed by Wes Craven, a psychotic television repairman (Mitch Pileggi) is caught in mid-rampage and sentenced to death, but instead of dying in the electric chair, his body just evaporates. Now able to live inside other people's bodies, television transmissions and household wiring, he continues to stalk his intended victims. 'Silver Bullet' (1985) is set in Smalltown, USA. All is peaceful, all is calm - or at least it is until a series of gruesome murders take place. The townspeople gather together to suggest various solutions and decide to send out a search party. But when the search party is massacred, it seems that the only hope for the town might be a young handicapped boy and his sister, both of whom are convinced that the killings are the work of a werewolf.
