Alan Hydes is a successful TV painter and presenter who has built up a large following after his various TV series achieved record-breaking ratings on Yorkshire Television. Painting the Stars was also shown on ITV recently and another series on painting celebrity portraits is planned for Autumn 03 to coincide with publication.

Celebrity Portraits includes practical hints and tips on how to capture people's personality and character through portrait painting, as well as several step-by-step portraits painted exclusively for the book.
