Triple bill featuring three classic horror films. In 'The Hunchback of Notre Dame' (1923) hideously deformed bell-ringer Quasimodo (Lon Chaney) lives in the bell-towers of Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris and is in love with a beautiful gypsy girl named Esmeralda (Patsy Ruth Miller). When she is accused of stabbing her lover, Quasimodo spirits her away into the bell-tower, but their friendship ends in tragedy. 'The Phantom of the Opera' (1925) takes us beneath the sewers of the Paris Opera House, and into the dwelling place of Enrique (Chaney again), a hideously disfigured composer whose dream it is to turn chorus singer Christine (Mary Philbin) into a diva. His efforts in this direction nevertheless end in tragedy. Finally, in 'Carnival of Souls' (1962), Candice Hilligoss stars as a woman who survives a serious car accident and moves to Utah to become a church organist. She is pursued there by a strange phantom figure played by Herk Harvey, the film's director and producer.
