With its portable second screen the Switch is an ideal home for top-down shooters, and if you own a Flipgrip you can play the games vertically to make the most out of your screen real estate. Like the classic platformers, these are the kinds of shooters that for all their bursts of lasers and frantic gunfire will allow you to sink into the action, giving yourself over to a perfect flow of action and reaction, hypnotising you for hours.
