Guest-edited by Andrew Benjamin, this issue aims to explore the question of the viability of painting as a contemporary and relevant medium for the 90s asking: Is there life after death for painting". In this age of technological innovation, is there still a place for the manual application of paint to a surface? Can painting address, with similar depth, the same issues as Conceptual Art? It has established a leading reputation for examining modern and contemporary art in depth, and encouraging discussion on new art.
