Gay men live in a world of deeply conflicting messages when it comes to sex. They are supposed to be liberated, responsible, experimental, safe, traditional, dominant, sex-positive and celibate - and above all else they are not supposed to follow the heterosexual model. Rob Weiss avoids political and moral arguments and instead focuses on the clinical approach, asking the question, 'Is your sexual behaviour causing problems in other areas of your life?' Cruise Control aims to lead men to a better understanding of sexual impulses and explains what resources there are for recovery.
