Three documentaries exploring the history of Cuba. 'Hemingway's Cuba' looks at the lead up to the revolution, in the years when Ernest Hemingway and Hollywood stars such as Errol Flynn and Spencer Tracy frequented the country's clubs and bars. 'Return to Havana' explores the formation and development of Cuban music and features a number of the country's musicians including Tata Guines, Tiburon and Son 14, Gonzalo Rubalcaba and Generoso Jimenez. 'Cuba's Conquistadors' examines the island's discovery by Columbus in the 15th century and the progress it has made since. The programme discusses, among other topics, the conflict between the conquistadors and the Indians, slavery, the revolution and Cuba's fight for freedom.
