Description

General George Armstrong Custer (Robert Shaw), a stalwart of the American Civil War, is determined to see the US campaign against the country's native population through to the bitter end. Sent into Dakota, ostensibly to make the area safe for settlers, the General leads a bloody charge against the Cheyenne tribe who currently occupy the land. When the Native Americans take their revenge, Custer is blamed, but plans to restore his reputation at Little Big Horn.
