Description

Complete fourth series of the much-loved classic BBC sitcom, set amongst the incompetent members of the Walmington-on-Sea Home Guard during the Second World War. Led by the officious Captain Mainwaring (Arthur Lowe), the platoon are always poised to repel an invasion by the dreaded Nazi paratroopers, even though most of their battles take place against the interfering ARP Warden Hodges (Bill Pertwee). In this series, the platoon go on a rigorous training programme, Pike (Ian Lavender) gets trapped in a minefield, and the Home Guard are challenged to a cricket match by their rivals in the Warden service.
