Damon Hill, son of Graham Hill, has proved a worthy successor to the two-times World Champion. He won three victories in 1993, his first full Grand Prix season, driving for the Williams-Renault squad. This makes him the first second-generation winner in the 44-season history of the motor racing World Championship.
