Description

All the episodes from the World War Two TV drama. It is the autumn of 1940 and the Blitz has taken London by surprise; hundreds of civilians have been killed and thousands more are made homeless. Brian Ash (Anthony Andrews) a young Royal Engineer Officer, finds himself posted to a bomb disposal company hastily assembled to combat a new and terrible menace - the hundreds of unexploded bombs which are coming close to paralysing the whole city. The episodes are: 'Dead Man's Shoes', 'Unsung Heroes', 'Just Like a Woman', 'Cast Iron Killer', 'The Silver Lining', 'The Quiet Weekend', 'Digging Out', 'Bad Company', '17 Seconds to Glory', 'Butterfly Winter', 'Dead Letter', 'The Pier' and 'With Love From Adolf'. Also included is 'Danger UXB - The True Story' a recently rediscovered 1941 training film designed to inform the British public about the dangers of unexploded bombs. Featuring actual documentary footage from the Blitz, the film shows how to identify UXBs and details what precautions need to be taken upon discovery.
