Description

'Deadpool 2' is a 2018 American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character Deadpool. Tyler Bates approached the score with a slight rock sensibility and created an 'obvious superhero theme' that he felt fit within the established X-Men franchise. He attempted to write music that stayed out of the way of the film's comedy and complemented its dialogue. For the score, Bates used a distorted guitar run through a wah-wah pedal, microsynths to add 'unique colors', and a choir.
