Surreal, avant-garde and resolutely unpigeonholeable, 'Diasporas' was the debut album by Ghédalia Tazartès, a Paris-born musician of Judeo-Spanish and Greek descent. It was recorded in 1977 and had a limited release in 1979. His fans include Stephen Stapleton of Nurse With Wound, who included Tazartès on his Nurse With Wound list, a list of bands that had influenced them.
