Description

Programmes comprise: 'Furrows' - a year in the life of Joe Lawson's farm through the seasons, filmed over a five year period from 1969 through 1973, 'Memories of 1976' - one of the driest summers of the twentieth century and how it affected the wildlife and farming through the following seasons, and 'Horse Power' - one man's exploration, in the 1980s, of the delicate balance between agriculture feeding the world's teeming population whilst not destroying the land and countryside in the process.
