Description

Disney Interactive has kept up with industry advances quite well in recent years, switching from 2D to 3D with relative ease. Maintaining their status as a significant industry developer and publisher, the company has produced the next game in its PC line up, Mickey Saves the Day. It is the first game of its kind to be targeted towards a younger audience, namely six to ten-year-old children. In Mickey's latest adventure, you are able to participate as one of two characters, Minnie or Mickey himself. Under threat from Big Bad Pete, your challenge is to help Minnie escape his clutches. Your adventure will take you across many different locations, including Mickey's hometown. Considering the game is targeted towards the younger gamer, the player is asked throughout the game to make numerous decisions that will affect the outcome of the game and the path you take. The game incorporates several playing genres that include platforming and role-playing. In some areas you will find yourself being challenged by steep chasms and volcanic lava, while in other stages of the game you must learn to use your inventory and decide when and where to use your resources. Three difficulty settings make the game even more challenging to either brighter youngsters or older children. Ultimately, Mickey Saves the Day oozes with gameplay that will keep players hooked for a long time.
