Their 1980 debut, produced by Martin Hannett, highlighted Vini Reilly's delicate, reverb-laden guitar and early use of synthesizers. 'The Return of The Durutti Column' marked the beginning of a five-decade career in which The Durutti Column quietly became one of Manchester's most influential acts. To mark the album's 45th anniversary, London Records presents this 2CD edition, containing a bonus disc which features bonus tracks, home and studio demos, and early live tracks.
