French drama written and directed by Mahamat-Saleh Haroun. The film follows the plight of former teacher Abbas (Eriq Ebouaney), who fled his home in the Central African Republic in the midst of a civil war in search of a better life for his family. Still recovering from the loss of his wife who died during their escape, Abbas strikes up a relationship with florist Carole (Sandrine Bonnaire), who welcomes Abbas and his two children into her home in Paris. However, despite her hospitality, Abbas's situation remains perilous as he awaits a response to his application for political asylum.
