John Edginton writes and directs this documentary which charts the life and career of rock singer Joe Cocker. Originally a gas fitter from Sheffield, Cocker became a star following his legendary performance at Woodstock in 1969. However, after achieving further success with his American tour of 1970, Cocker's inner demons began to take control as he struggled to overcome alcohol and drug addictions. Featuring archive interviews with Cocker himself alongside contributions from fellow musicians and live performance footage from across Cocker's career, the film documents how he worked to overcome his issues to rebuild his reputation as one of the most respected rock vocalists of his time.
