El aroma de los anhelos es una historia de amor, pero tambin un gran retrato de Mxico precursor al estallido de la Revolucin mexicana.

Durante el porfiriato crece cada vez ms el descontento de la poblacin. Distintos grupos comienzan a organizarse para confrontar el presidente, entre ellos, el bando liderado por Francisco L. Madero. Los maderistas se situarn en distintos lugares de Mxico y al sur de Estados Unidos, especficamente en San Antonio, Texas, punto clave para la lucha.

Mara, de tan slo 15 aos, es una joven con espritu revolucionario que desea escapar de su condicin social privilegiada para promover el voto femenino, participar en la poltica e iniciar una vida de entrega para los ms necesitados. Las lecturas como Regeneracin de los Flores Magn, Punto Rojo del poeta Prxedis G. Guerrero y Los miserables de Victor Hugo, le infundirn ese valor. Pero no ser tarea fcil: la proteccin y las costumbres de su madre, aunadas a las restricciones de su gnero, la enfrentarn a diferentes obstculos.

Sin embargo, el destino dar un vuelco cuando conoce a un joven doctor recin llegado a San Antonio, Daniel Chapman. Pronto, l se convertir en confidente y amigo, ya que un poderoso lazo los unir ms all de lo terrenal.

The Scent of Desires is a love story, but also a great portrait of a Mexico preceding the onset of the Mexican Revolution.

During the times of Porfirio Diaz' rule, the population's dissatisfaction and restlessness grew bigger and bigger. Different groups opposed to Diaz began to organize to challenge the president, among them, a group led by Francisco L. Madero. The "Maderistas" would then position themselves in different parts of Mexico and the southern United States, specifically in San Antonio, Texas, a key point for the fight.

Mara, at the time only 15 years old, was a young woman with a revolutionary spirit who wanted to escape her privileged social standing to promote women's suffrage, participate in politics, and start a life of dedication for the most needy. The writings of Prxedis G. Guerrero published in the newspaper Regeneracin and Les misrable by Victor Hugo, would instill that audacity and drive in her. But it would not be an easy task: her mother's care and social customs, together with the restrictions of being a woman, would make her face many different obstacles.

However, fate is turned upside down when she meets a young doctor who recently arrived in San Antonio, Daniel Chapman. Soon, he will become a confidant and friend, as a powerful bond will bind them together.
