The official,exclusive, behind the scenes story at the making of Emmerdale, published to tie in with the opening of the new multi million pound purpose built Emmerdale village at Harewood, Near Leeds. Village life follows the building of new village set, house by house, family by family tour, as well as visits to pub, post office, tea rooms and church. New and exclusive photographs, and a look into how the set was made authentic. Interviews with production designer Mike Long and his team. the fictional stories and settings will be related to real life changes in rural communities, such as the demise of farming as a staple industry and a source of employment, and the conversion of derelict mills and forges into residential accommodation.
